Phantoms in the Front Yard (PITFY) is an artist collective that was founded in 2010. The group is based out of Vancouver, Canada. The main focus of the group is ' figurative art', using the human figure role as a departure, applying a collaborative method to develop ideas and exhibits, holding pop up shows in unexpected settings. For each of their shows one group member artist proposes a theme that the entire group then develops work around. The group's shows are shorter than typical exhibitions, creating excitement around figurative art for all, not just among academics and industry veterans.
